Notary Records Retention

When you request notarization services, we maintain a notary record of the transaction. Texas Government Code Section 406.014(g) requires notaries to retain these records for a minimum of 10 years (effective September 1, 2025). Your record includes the date, type of notarization, your identification method, and the documents notarized, but does not include your identification number per Texas Administrative Code Title 1, Section 87.60.

These records are kept confidential and stored securely. Access is limited to Iron Crown Notary staff and as required by law.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your information is stored on secure servers and is accessed only by authorized Iron Crown Notary staff.

Iron Crown Notary maintains Cyber Liability insurance to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access.

Notary records maintained under Texas law cannot be deleted during the retention period but may be amended or corrected upon request.
